WHANGANUI TOUR UPDATE

The YWAM KOHA, docked in Whanganui, is departing the port ahead of schedule. Swells from the Tasman Sea are creating an unsafe situation for the crew and the ship. The difficult decision to leave the port was made late Monday evening.
“We are disappointed to have to cut our visit short and to cancel planned events,” said Marty Emmett, YWAM Ships Aotearoa Chief Operating Officer. “We are grateful for the outpouring of support from this community. We certainly plan to return to Whanganui at a later date.”
The YWAM KOHA hosted almost 500 people on the ship over the weekend. The ship had planned to stay in Whanganui until April 19.
