Answering the Call: How Your Maritime or Medical/Dental Skills Can Change Lives

Throughout history, healing, and ships have been an avenue to show love and compassion, reaching hearts with the good news of God’s kingdom. From the days of Luke, the physician, to the missionary journeys of Paul, the synergy between medicine and maritime endeavors has left an indelible mark on communities throughout the ages.

With great enthusiasm, we extend an invitation to you to join our Discipleship Training School (DTS), where we focus on leveraging medical/dental and maritime skills for missions.

Our medical aid vessel, the YWAM KOHA, sails into isolated Pacific villages providing medical/dental aid. The collaboration of maritime skills and practical healthcare is transforming lives, offering help and hope to communities accessible only by sea.

For Mariners:

Are you curious about the profound impact ships can have in missions? Whether you are a seasoned mariner or have never set foot on a ship, this DTS is tailor-made for you. Immerse yourself in a program that explores the profound significance of using ships and maritime skills to serve some of the most isolated people on Earth. Your simple “yes” is all it takes to embark on this transformative journey.

For Medical/Dental Professionals:

Our program transcends the basics of compassion, delving into how you can bring healing to those isolated and broken by sickness and disease. In a world where pain and despair often overshadow hope, you can be the answer they seek. This DTS equips you to become a missionary, utilizing your medical/dental skills to transform nations.

The Medical/Dental, Maritime Discipleship Training School is scheduled from January 22 to June 7, 2024, and includes a two-month short-term mission trip. Applying is simple–just visit YWAMFurnace.nz to submit an application, seek more information, or request a call from one of our staff members.

Seize the opportunity to channel your passion and skills towards impacting nations. If your heart longs to learn and serve, reach out to us. Together, let’s make a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.
